Customer drives his Valtra tractor from Finland to Italy

16.07.2010

Vladi Peresson from Italy plans to drive his new Valtra N142 Versu tractor from Suolahti in Finland to Arta Terme in Italy.

Vladi Peresson and his father Calidio Peresson operate a dairy farm in Arta Terme, and the new tractor will be put to work there. Vladi Peresson will be accompanied by his local Valtra dealer Friulmacchine di Ortis Guido. Peresson will depart the Suolahti factory on 2 August 2010 at 11am.

The journey will cross Southern Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Austria before reaching Arta Terme in Northern Italy. The total distance is expected to add up to almost 2700 kilometres, and the journey will take seven days. Along the way Peresson will visit Valtra importers and dealers. The journey will raise money for the “Kopa ar mums” orphanage in Latvia. The target is to raise 2671 euros, or one euro for each kilometre.

Valtra manufactures tractors on the basis of individual orders. Depending on the model, hundreds of alternatives are available in terms of options and accessories, which can be combined in hundreds of thousands of ways. In practice each tractor that is manufactured at the Suolahti factory is different, tailor-made for its owner. All customers are welcome to visit the factory to watch their own tractor being built. Naturally, they are also welcome to drive their tractors home from the factory.
