During the second week of October, some 150 machinery journalists descended on Finland. The first venue was AGCO’s engine plant at Linnavuori followed by a trip to join colleagues at Vanajan Linna, a Hämeenlinna manor house, for the presentation of new models by Valtra.

A good result at the finals of the Euro Cup in Bettborn, Luxembourg, earned second place overall for Pekka Herlevi and Sigma Power. The Valtra Shell Pulling Team’s success was boosted by Matti Herlevi’s second place at the Bettborn event with Caesar, which promoted him to fourth in the overall standings.

Matti Rautiainen takes bronze in World Ploughing Contest

Finnish Valtra driver Matti Rautiainen took bronze in the World Ploughing Contest held in Grafenegg, Austria on 15-16 August. Rautianen, who participated in the conventional ploughing category, placed fifth on the stubble and second on the grassland. The conditions in Grafenegg varied considerably from rain to sunshine.
